The Courtyard Cafe

The Courtyard Cafe opened in September 2017 at St John's Hospice. Open to the public, serving home made cakes, freshly ground coffee and a fine selection of hot and cold food prepared to order. Much of the fresh fruit and vegetables are grown on site in our vegetable garden. The garden, along with nearly everybody working in the cafe, are volunteers giving their time freely to support the cafe and St John's Hospice. All proceeds from our scrumptious cakes, home cooked lunches and freshly ground coffee go straight back to St John’s Hospice.

The Three Mariners

The Three Mariners is a Grade II listed building and is widely rumoured to be the oldest pub in Lancaster, dating back to the 15th Century. It has seen much of Lancaster's rich history, from the closure of the Castle Priory by Henry VIII in 1539, to the Jacobite uprisings in the 1700s. It has also played a part in the city's history, with numerous ties to Lancaster Castle throughout its 600 year occupancy.
