Kathy's Cafe
Kathy's Cafe is owned by Tracy and Andy Clayton. Tracy is the daughter of Kathy and Steve Bender. In 2002 Kathy and her daughter Liz decided to open a restaurant here in Hughesville. Kathy and Steve were the owner/operators of The Gateway and The Lawi-Saquick for 23 years.
Liz and Tracy both grew up in the restaurant business and opening this cafe just seemed natural to them. In a couple years Liz decided to take on college and headed to AZ to do this. Kathy was not far behind, pursuing her life long dreaming of living and working in the "old west". Kathy drove across the country with her dog...
