It begins with Dave being born into the Fowell family, known as chooky from an early age. So he ends up starting a free range egg farm with his wife Denise and family near Hahei and selling eggs around the peninsula. They became known as the ‘Egg people’. Hot Waves is a licensed cafe and gallery and only a one minute walk from internationally renowned Hot Water Beach.
