Ice Shack is the norths first All-Vegan desserts parlour which opened up on the edge of Withington village on May 17th 2016.
Ice Shack has been founded by a small families love of Vegan desserts. We opened up as a Vegetarian and Vegan desserts parlour and on April 4th 2017 became 100% vegan :)
The Ice Shack idea started many moons ago where the family wanted to create and share vegan desserts to the masses at affordable prices while creating an experience people will remember.
Vegan desserts, especially ice cream, are very popular over the pond and they are now coming over to our shores and we wanted to be at the forefront.
Several years ago if you wanted a vegan alternative you would have to pay extra for this privledge. Its now to a stage where theres not much difference in cost as society become more aware and cater towards diets of all kinds.
We wanted to create a unique, quirky experience and we hope the moment you step through the front door you will feel this. The parlour has been created with 100% of the furnishings reclaimed, recycled or donated. This is from the pallets, reclaimed flooring to the chairs and sofas. The interior is very simple and quirky but we hope you feel at home within our humble, imperfect parlour :)
Ice Shack is not just about coming in and enjoying our sweet wares but about experiencing something different, from our interior mish-mash asthetics to coming to one of our games/curry nights or joining our weekly Sunday 8km run (and getting free ice cream for doing so).
Ice Shack offers a host of free services including a free projector system and free Wifi, even if you don't buy anything from us. Just come in and enjoy the vibe :)
We allow you to bring in your own pets, the parlour is breastfeeding friendly and we even allow you to bring in your own food - if you wanted to finish off with one of our desserts :)
At the end of the financial year we are going to donate 10% of all profits to local charities.
